The story behind Victor Osimhen’s loan move to Galatasaray
Football journalist Nicky Bandini says Galatasaray have got one of the best strikers in the world after Victor Osimhen joined the Turkish club on loan from Serie A side Napoli.
The 25-year-old had been a target for Premier League side Chelsea and also Saudi club Al-Ahli, but, after a move didn’t materialise before their transfer deadlines, he made the loan move to the Istanbul-based club.
Only 12 months ago, the Nigerian striker was one of world football’s hottest properties, having fired Napoli to a first Serie A title in 33 years. So where did it go wrong for Osimhen and what can Galatasaray expect?
