Cannes 2024 might be remembered more for the four-legged stars on the red carpet than Hollywood celebrities.

Dogs have stolen the show at this year's film festival, from Messi, the dog in last year's Palme D'Or winner 'Anatomy of a Fall, to another canine, the star of a French-Swiss film, 'Dog on Trial', appearing (wearing designer) on the red carpet.

In fact this year's event has been declared "the doggiest Cannes ever" by journalist Toby Rose, who created a rival prize to the Palme D'Or: the Palm Dog.
