Until just over a decade ago, cremation was illegal in Greece. But even in the years since it was legalised,a crematorium has not opened.聽For those who want to be cremated the alternative is an eight hour journey to neighbouring Bulgaria, where cremations can take place. Anna Vagena travelled to Sofia overnight to cremate her husband.
