Former England cricketer Ian Bell believes the county cricket format could be threatening the development of young aspiring batters looking to hone their four-day skills.

After England's batting great Alastair Cook announced his retirement from international cricket, Bell is concerned that the schedule of domestic matches hamper the chances of finding the next Cook.
