Could 'The Conker' be the future of housing?
Could "The Conker" be the future of housing? A car industry engineer from Cheshire has attracted attention with his design dubbed "The Conker", a spherical building that looks a bit like a giant wooden football on stilts.
The inventor Jag Virdie says it could be used for everything from glamping to old people's homes. Newspapers even wondered if adult 'boomerang' children who end up living with mum and dad could be packed off to the garden to live in a conker.
Radio 4's Chris Vallance went to take a look.
