Pussy Riot: World cup protest was 'cool statement'

Maria Alyokhina (known as Masha), who was one of the founding members of Pussy Riot, has said that the incident where four members of the activist collective ran onto the pitch at the World Cup final in Moscow was a 'cool statement'.

In 2012 three members of the group including Maria Alyokhina were sentenced to two years in prison after an unauthorised performance as a Moscow cathedral.

Maria's story is being told as part of a performance and art exhibition at Edinburgh's Summerhall during the Edinburgh fringe festival.
