GDPR: Your data protection questions answered

A new data protection law (GDPR) comes into force in the UK on 25 May 2018.

It will change how companies and individuals collect, store and share data. It's to give people more control over how organisations use personal data.

Â鶹ÊÓƵAV Radio 5 live presenters Sean Farrington and Rachel Burden put listener's questions to Deputy Information Commissioner Steve Wood, including:

Do small businesses (with fewer than 250 employees) need to do anything?

What should an antique shop do with business cards they've collected over the years?

Will the new regulations cover paperwork, such as post?

What are the rules about taking data out of the office?

This clip is from Â鶹ÊÓƵAV Radio 5 live Breakfast on Friday 27 April 2018.
