RBS denies deliberately making firms fail
The Royal Bank of Scotland has denied deliberately caused struggling businesses to fail, but has acknowledged it let some small business customers down in the past.
The comments come in response to a Â鶹ÊÓƵAV Newsnight/BuzzFeed News investigation of thousands of confidential documents.
Speaking to Andy Verity in a Â鶹ÊÓƵAV Newsnight interview, the chief conduct and regulatory affairs officer for RBS Jon Pain said: "I've seen no evidence, no evidence at all after two and a half years [and] millions of documents, that point to GRG [the Global Restructuring Group] artificially distressing viable business. It simply isn't true."
