Why we called ourselves The Dwarfs of East Agouza

Sam Shalabi, one third of Egyptian psychedelic trio, The Dwarfs of East Agouza, explains his band's bizarre name.

He, and fellow members Maurice Louca and Alan Bishop were all living in Agouza, in Cairo, when they formed the band.

He tells Global Beats that Cairo inspires psychedelic music because it is 'one of the most surreal cities on the planet'.
