French Strikes Disrupt Fuel Supplies

Total group to 'seriously review' plans in France, after oil refineries were blockaded.

The French energy giant Total says it will seriously review its investment plans in France, after several of its oil refineries were blockaded by workers protesting against a new labour law. An estimated 20% of French petrol stations have either run dry or are low on supplies. The Â鶹ÊÓƵAV's Lucy Williamson brings us the latest from Paris.

Oil and gas group Royal Dutch Shell faced criticism over executive pay during its annual shareholder meeting. Campaigners also called for the company to take more steps to prevent climate change. We hear from Mark Van Baal, the founder of a new campaign group called Follow This and environmental campaigner Jonathan Porritt, who explains that energy companies have been forced to think much harder about how they handle large drilling and fracking projects.
