The billionaire investor Warren Buffett has revealed that his investment firm has bought a $1bn stake in the technology firm Apple.

The billionaire investor Warren Buffett has revealed that his investment firm has bought a $1bn stake in the technology firm Apple. Berkshire Hathaway disclosed a holding of 9.81 million shares in the iPhone maker in a regulatory filing. Larry Magid, a technology journalist in the US, gives his reaction.

The rules have changed in the US for start-up companies wanting to raise cash to launch their businesses. From today, new companies can raise up to a million dollars over a 12 month period through crowdfunding campaigns, without having to be being registered with the US markets regulator. Cat Clifford who writes about and hosts a crowdfunding show for Entrepreneur.com talks about the changes.
