The discovery that graphene, the one atom thick, wonder material behaves like paper, inspired nanotechnologist Professor Paul McEuan and his team to try some ancient Japanese paper-cutting art, kirigami – the result is soft, bendable electronics on the nanoscale. They also tried origami (paper folding) but that didn’t work!
