I faced a tiger and survived

Bengal tigers are an endangered species, but on the border between India and Bangladesh there have been regular tiger attacks on people who live in the world's largest mangrove forest, the Sundarbans. In the past few months two more people have been killed, one of them a woman who was dragged into the forest by a tiger and never seen again. All of this has led to terrified villagers seeking revenge on the tigers, prompting wildlife groups to step in and try to protect the animals. Candida Beveridge has been to the Sundarbans and met people who've come face to face with a tiger and lived to tell the tale.
