'Disabled people understand risk in a very different way'

Joan Bakewell speaks to disability campaigner Kaliya Franklin, fertility expert Alison Murdoch and ethicist Deborah Bowman to discuss the ethics in the case of Rosemary, who has Ehlers-Danlos syndrome and is seeking assisted conception despite the risks it poses to her life.

Kaliya argues that disabled people have a very different appreciation of risk, especially from clinicians, because of the ever-present risks they live with every day.
