Matthew Sweet talks to Germaine Franco, the first female composer to score a Disney animated feature, 'Encanto', which is nominated for best Original Score at this weekend鈥檚 Academy Awards. Matthew invites Germaine to discuss the path that has led her to tomorrow鈥檚 Oscar ceremony, about her career in film music and work on titles such as 鈥楥oco鈥�, 鈥楬ow to Train Your Dragon', and 鈥楧ora and the Lost City of Gold鈥�, about her collaborations with the likes of Michael Giacchino, John Debney and John Powell, and he unpicks some of her thoughts about composing a successful soundtrack for Disney.
