Shutting up shop
It opened in 1892 - but now after 124 years, family run shop McGirrs on the Kilnahushogue Road is finally closing its doors. Anne Marie has been down to meet sisters Ethna and Ita, to reminisce about days gone by in this small Clogher shop.
Ahoghill Awards
Just 4 miles from Ballymena, we have a blooming champion in our midst. For the past seven years, Ahoghill has been named best small town in the Ulster in Bloom competition.But it didn't stop there for this green fingered farming community - who have now twice won gold in the National Britain in Bloom Competition.
New life for Kilwaughter Castle
In April this year we spoke to Anne Blackmore in Australia, the proud owner of a castle in County Antrim. Back then, she was trying very hard to get a restoration project for it off the ground. Now seven months on, there are signs of a new lease of life as a s a public meeting is to be held about it next Tuesday in Millbrook near Larne.
Crackers for Christmas
It's often the first sign of Christmas in Ballymena, and this year is no different. Radio Cracker - a station run by volunteers to raise money for charity - returns for its 25th year, and there are plenty of treats in store for listeners.Â
