This month the youngest ever couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary. But according to the Office of National Statistics the average marriage is expected to last 32 years. So are Ruby, Gold or even Diamond weddings becoming a thing of the past? Agony Aunt , who has been married 44 years, and , who is conducting research into long term relationships for the Open University, give their top tips for a long term relationship.

This week Beyoncé begins her UK leg of her world tour called ‘The Mrs Carter Show’. She has recently described herself as a “modern day feminist” and wants to promote women’s rights through music. But the lyrics of her latest single and one of her outfits on the tour complete with faux breasts have caused a stir. York schoolgirl's Body Confidence Campaign

A group of 13 year old schoolgirls from York have launched their own in response to the number of airbrushed images ofwomen shown in their local shopping centre. The girlsbelieve that unrealistic images ofmodels maketeenage girls feel inadequate.Theyare askingshops in the city to remove advertising featuring airbrushedmodels from their window displays for a week and replace them with photos of ordinary customers modelling their clothes instead. Molly Horner and Alison Coates join Jenni to talk about their campaign.

Children who bite

The Liverpool footballer Luis Suarez has caused controversy again this week by biting an opponent, Branislav Ivanovic, on the arm in a game against Chelsea on Sunday 21st April. He has since apologised for his "inexcusable behaviour" and received a ten game ban from the Football Association. While biting is practically unheard of in adults it’s a far more common behaviour amongst toddlers. It’s one of the more antisocial habits that parents dread. No parent wants their child to be labelled a “biter” and be excluded from playgroup. runs classes to help parents deal withpoor behaviour in children. She joins Jenni to discuss the best way to deal with biting in children.

Ethnic Minority Infant Mortality Rates

A new study by the University of Leeds shows improved care for mothers from ethnic minority groups is needed. The number of children dying before the age of one amongst Caribbean and Pakistan communities is much higher than the national average – 81% for Pakistani and 128% for Caribbean women born outside the UK. Whilst a nationwide programme to support teenage mothers is working well, support for new mothers and mothers to be in ethnic minority groups where infant death rates are high is patchy. Dr Ghazala Mir is Principal Researcher Fellow at the University of Leeds and Ansa Ahmed is a bereaved mother who is on the Project Development Group to help find solutions to the problems identified in the research.
