Justin Spear goes minimalist 80s electro

Professor J Spear talks about Mute records and early 1980s electronic music.

Mute records, now home to Depeche Mode and Goldfrapp began in a more humble setting under the direction of Daniel Miller in 1978. Tonight Professor J Spear un-earths the first three records released on Mute alongside minimalist plinky plonk treasures from Belgium and Germany. Expect 8-bit synths and cold-wave electronic music at its very best.
