With works from Bach, Beethoven, Clara Schumann, Shostakovich, Sibelius, Elgar and more, this Proms season is jam-packed full of classic composers and repertoire. Hear them performed by some of the greatest orchestras in the world in a season that guarantees the ultimate concert experience.

For Families

Enjoy a number of family-friendly concerts at the Proms this summer, with half-price seats for anyone 18 and under. Join your favourite CBeebies friends to sing in Duggee’s Wildlife Jamboree Choir, or immerse yourself in the magic of Stravinsky’s Firebird, Ravel’s Mother Goose and a musical and dramatic exploration of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9. You can also join us for a Relaxed Prom, designed to suit individuals or groups who feel more comfortable attending concerts in a relaxed environment. And Doctor Who makes a much-anticipated return to the Proms with a brand-new show celebrating the Doctor’s latest adventures.

Something a Bit Different ...

This season offers a huge variety of styles and performers, from a celebration of one of the most iconic voices of the 20th century, Sarah Vaughan, to the compelling poetry of the BRIT Award-winning album Lungs from Florence + The Machine. Join us for a deep dive into the hypnotic world of contemporary soundtracks or get ready for all the glitz, glamour and groove of disco. It’s all here at the Proms!

International Orchestras

As well as showcasing the very best of UK orchestras, the Proms is a platform for global music-making. This season we invite an array of international ensembles hailing from Paris to Prague to Japan. Make sure you catch this rare opportunity to hear some of the best names on the international stage.

Celebrating Voice

Hallelujah! Singing is front and centre at the Proms this season, as a star-studded roster of performers lifts the roof off the Royal Albert Hall. We celebrate the centenary of the Â鶹ÊÓƵAV’s professional chamber choir, the Â鶹ÊÓƵAV Singers, and showcase some of the UK's great choral ensembles, such as The King's Singers and VOCES8. Glyndebourne Festival Opera performs that most red-blooded of operas, Bizet's Carmen, and Garsington Opera makes its Proms debut with a semi-staged production of Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

To cap it off, we host a Proms Choral Day at the end of the season that includes a performance of Handel's Messiah and the UK debut of dynamic American ensemble, the Jason Max Ferdinand Singers.

Late Night Proms

If you’re a musically adventurous night owl then our intimate and eclectic Late Night concerts might just be for you! Multi-skilled, golden-voiced counter-tenor Jakub Józef OrliÅ„ski joins Il Pomo d’Oro for a journey through the music of the early Baroque, whilst Tinariwen comes all the way from northern Mali to combine traditional Tuareg and African music with elements of Western rock and jazz. The London Sinfonietta and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment come together to perform Heiner Goebbels’s Songs of Wars I Have Seen, a landmark setting of wartime diary entries by Gertrude Stein, and Sir András Schiff brings Bach’s The Art of Fugue to life on a fine modern piano. You’re in for some unforgettable evenings this summer.

Across the UK

Alongside concerts in every UK nation, we’re excited to be returning to Gateshead for another weekend-long Proms festival this season, and delighted to announce that weekend festivals will also be hosted in Bristol, at the Bristol Beacon, and in Nottingham, at the Albert Hall and Royal Concert Hall. Newport, Belfast and Aberdeen will also be raising the Proms banner this summer as part of our annual chamber concert season.
