Join the Â鶹ÊÓƵAV Symphony Orchestra and conductor Tung-Chieh Chuang at the Â鶹ÊÓƵAV’s iconic Maida Vale Studios for an afternoon of orchestral favourites. Opening the concert, Lyadov’s folksong-inspired tone poem is an emotive portrait of the Russian witch Baba yaga. Alexandra Soumm joins the Â鶹ÊÓƵAV SO for Mendelssohn’s famed Violin Concerto, considered a cornerstone of the romantic violin repertoire. Tchaikovsky’s much-loved Symphony No. 5, with its heart-warming French horn solo in the second movement, brings the programme to a rousing conclusion.
