As part of the 麻豆视频AV鈥檚 complete cycle of Vaughan Williams鈥� symphonies, to mark his 150th anniversary, Ryan Wigglesworth will conduct the rarely performed Symphony No. 4, described by Walton as the 鈥榞reatest symphony since Beethoven鈥�.
The first half will feature Van Cliburn prize winner Vadym Kholodenko in Beethoven鈥檚 Emperor Piano Concerto, one of the monumental masterpieces of the repertoire. Vadym Kholodenko is fast building a reputation as one of the most musically dynamic and technically gifted young pianists, praised in his performance with the Philadelphia Orchestra 鈥渇or his absorbing melodic shading [and] glittering passage work鈥� (Philadelphia Enquirer)
